Six notable chefs from around the nation are bringing their distinctive regional styles to the Wisconsin Cheese Chef Ambassador program for 2007 - 2008.

The 2007-2008 Chef Ambassadors are:

The WMMB Chef Ambassador Program

Top chefs from all across the country have discovered the heritage and passion of Wisconsin Cheese and its creators by participating in "Cheese with Pride, Chefs with Passion," the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board's Chef Ambassador program.

This program connects some of the best chefs in the nation with Wisconsin Cheese – some of the best cheese in the nation. The WMMB Chef Ambassador program taps the culinary creativity of these talented chefs to develop exciting new menu applications. In addition to developing recipes, chef ambassadors also spend the year spreading the word about Wisconsin Cheese through a special chef-invitee event in their restaurants, making media appearances and appearing at food events and conferences.

With the help of our chef ambassador team, people around the nation have enjoyed tasting the very best Wisconsin Cheese.

What's Happening?

Wisconsin Cheese will be a gold sponsor for the upcoming International Star Chefs Congress, September 14-16, 2008, NYC. The three-day culinary symposium hosts 60 of the world's most influential and innovative chefs, pastry chefs, mixologists, and sommeliers where they present the latest techniques and culinary concepts to their peers.

Chef Ambassador Kent Rathbun hosted dinners in Houston, Austin and Dallas featuring 14 Wisconsin Cheeses on a 5 course menu. Media, foodservice distributors, specialty retailers and Texas foodies attended the sold-out dinners.
James Beard Awards
WMMB was honored to showcase Wisconsin Cheese at the 2008 James Beard Foundation Awards in New York entitled "Artisanal America: the Craft of Cuisine."
